Jupiter May 1, 2017 in Luminance and CH4 filters

Comparison of different aspects of Jupiter when imaged in visible light (luminance) and CH4 (Methane) light. The two images were taken few minutes apart, enough to show the fast planet rotation. Despite the telescope relatively little aperture to image in narrowband filters (CH4) I am surprised by the result. Good seeing condition. At the moment of the imaging (May 1st 2017) Jupiter diameter was 43.4". Luminance 3x90" videos (about 12000 frames stacked), CH4 7x90" videos (about 2,600 frames stacked). Sum and derotation using AS!3 and WinJupos. Wavelet and RL deconvolution using Registax 6 and Astra Image.
