Ring of Fire - 26 December 2019
Video showing the peak moments around totality of the Annular Solar Eclipse on Boxing Day 2019, imaged from my home terrace in Singapore. The video covers about 4 minutes between 13:21:42 and 13:26:11 local time. Pentax 75SHDF with Baader Astrosolar filter, ZWO mini 174MM.
Visible several Baily's beads on the bottom part created by the Moon mountains and craters visible on profile over the solar disk. An annular solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes in front of the Sun but it is too far away to completely cover the Sun's disk, leaving the Sun's visible outer edges to form a “ring of fire” or annulus around the Moon.
